The RMH Physiotherapy service employs over 100 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus.


We have a number of exciting opportunities for for passionate and dedicated Grade 2 Allied Health Assistants to join our Physiotherapy team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital across both acute and subacute sites. Please outline in your cover letter whether you are seeking Full Time or Part Time and your days/hours of availability


Your new role:

  • Provide quality care to patients in collaboration with and under the direction and supervision of the relevant Allied Health professional, or other health professional as requested.
  • Under the direction and / or supervision of the health professional, assist patients in accessing services, completing personal care tasks or completing prescribed treatment.
  • Under the direction and / or supervision of the health professional, provide support to patients and/or carers of patients to support appropriate discharge from hospital.
  • This position is supported by a Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant and the Physiotherapy team.

About you:

  • You hold an Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV.
  • You have effective communication skills with a range of people, including patients, families/carers, and staff from other disciplines.
  • You have a passion for patient centred care, are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
  • You have good administrative skills and the ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of Physiotherapists.
