The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Medical Workforce and Education team. This is a Full Time/Fixed Term maternity leave cover position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.
Your new role
The Medical Workforce and Education Unit is a collaborative team, supporting both the junior and senior medical workforce as well as medical education.
Reporting to the Medical Workforce Manager within the Doctors in Training (DiT) portfolio and working closely within an experienced team, this role requires someone who is a self-starter with good lateral thinking and multitasking skills to join our busy team. Although you will ideally have had experience in Health Care, Workforce Management and/or Recruitment as a foundation, we will train and develop you in all areas of Workforce Management at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The breadth of activities undertaken within the DiT Workforce Team will ensure you remain challenged and continue to learn and develop through your career with us.
About You
Essential
- Proven ability to problem solve (lateral thinker), work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure required service outcomes
- Outstanding organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills and be able to quickly learn and navigate around new systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with all levels of staff and external partners
Desirable:
- Experience in recruitment and workforce management
- Experience within the health sector
- Working knowledge of industrial awards and agreements
- Experience with complex rostering and ideally within an electronic rostering system
- SAP experience
- Tertiary qualifications
