The RMH Security Department provides a 24/7 service to both the RMH City Campus and RMH Royal Park Campus. They are tasked with securing the premises and ensuring the safety of all staff, patients and visitors on site. It is a challenging and dynamic environment to work within that is sure to aid in your growth and development as a Security Officer.

 

About the role


The Security Coordinator role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to further their career within the Security Industry.

  • Assist the Director of Security & Safety and the Security Operations Manager in leading and developing RMH's strategic and operational security function
  • Ensure the Security & Safety team provide a high quality customer service
  • Work to achieve a consistently safe environment for our people, patients/consumers, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Engaging stakeholders across the organisation and external, to gain their active participation in a more integrated and proactive approach to our people's safety & security.

There is a number of active projects and various portfolios that will sit with the two Security Coordinators, as well as having oversite and managing the workforce of 50+ Security Team Leaders, Security Officers and Agency staff. About You

 

You have a formal qualification in the relevant field, as well as:

  • Security experience in the public or private sector with a demonstrated track record of managing security and safety teams
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Security licence as per Private Security Act 2004
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Clear Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check

Further qualifications in leadership, security risk, training or other related discipline, and experience in a healthcare environment will be considered desirable.
