We are seeking applications for the role of Deputy Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to join Melbourne Health's Connecting Care EMR Team on a part time fixed term basis.

 

Hours and salary will be negotiated with the succesful applicant based on experience.


 

The Connecting Care Program and Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR):

Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH) and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) have commenced the Connecting Care program to implement a shared Electronic Medical Record (EMR).  The Connecting Care program will see the expansion of the successful Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Epic EMR to operate across the four health services.

 

The Opportunity:

Working within the Connecting Care EMR team you will have the opportunity to deliver an EMR solution that will make a difference to how we care for patients within the Parkville Health Services.  This job will provide you with new skills, experiences and may open new career opportunities for you.  All members of the Connecting Care team will be required to work across all Parkville Health Services. 

 

Requirements for the role:

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical professional with a strong understanding of EMR’s, clinical change and informatics. The Deputy Chief Medical Information Officer (DCMIO) will work with the CMIO to provide leadership and facilitate engagement of medical and clinical staff across MH in the design and implementation of the EMR and associated technologies. 

 

The successful applicant will have proven strong capabilities in building trusted working relationships and the ability to strategically identify and influence stakeholders at all levels. This medical role will represent and consult with the MH medical staff in decision making and policy formation related to the EMR, other software applications and clinical informatics.
