- Support the research activities of Aged Care and Medicine
This varied research role will support the research activities of Medicine and Community care.
This is a Part Time, Fixed term position including a range coordination activities including:
- Independently carry out research agenda focused on completion of project aims
- Recruit and obtain consent from study participants and/or primary carers in the aged care (RMH Royal Park) and community settings
- Conduct face-to-face and telephone structured interviews with study participants and/or primary carers
- Coordinate biospecimen collection and transport of specimens in liaison with RMH nursing or pathology staff
- Coordinate collection of aged care assessment forms (completed by RMH clinical staff) for evaluation in accordance with ethical guidelines
- Conduct data entry and maintain research databases, tracking logs and data records
- Assist with preparation of submissions, reports and correspondence to the Melbourne Health Human Research Ethics Committee
- Contribute to the training of undergraduate students and junior staff members as required
- Assist with preparation of manuscripts for publication as requited
- Attend and actively participate in research meetings, departmental seminars, and other relevant meetings as required
