Melbourne Health is an award winning health care service and is Victoria’s second largest public health service. We provide comprehensive acute, sub-acute, general, specialist medical and mental health services through both inpatient and community based facilities through the following services: The Royal Melbourne Hospital – City Campus, The Royal Melbourne Hospital – Royal Park Campus, North Western Mental Health, RMH Kidney Care Service and Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory.
The Department of Dermatology is part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital city Campus which is a 700 bed major teaching hospital attached to the University of Melbourne.
The Department of Dermatology accepts referrals and treats patients from the greater metropolitan Melbourne area, also treats patients from outside the metropolitan area within the state of Victoria. The department provides care to over 100 patients per week. The department employees consist of 14 consultants, 2 registrars, 2 research fellows, 2 Biologic nurse consultants and rostered residents.
The Dermatology department is looking for a Dermatologist to work in the Medicare Rapid access Clinic and with Registrars to supervise and teach. This will allow exposure to RMH in general and very much link GP practice referrals to the RMH also patient triage being important to respective Clinics if needed.
