The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Prosthetics & Orthotics team. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position, working 80 hours per fortnight and ending on the 5th of May 2019.

 

Your Opportunity:

This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Prosthetist/Orthotist to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in an established prosthetics service, with strong evidence based practice and patient centred approach. 

  • Contribute to the advancement of digital capture and rapid prototyping in the field of Facial Prosthetics
  • Be supported to extend your technical and clinical skills

About You:

  • You will have experience in providing rehabilitation and definitive prosthetics services to a diverse range of clients and competency in delivering timely orthotic services in a rehabilitation and aged care setting
  • A qualified Prosthetist/Orthotist, AOPA certification strongly encouraged
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and hospital based patient management systems
  • Interest in assisting with student education
  • Experience with osseointegrated prosthetics
  • NDIS registration
