Admissions Clerk

  • A critical customer service role for our surgical access team
  • Permanent Part Time position available (45 hours per fortnight)
  • Based in The Royal Melbourne Hospital  - City Campus

Your new team

  • As a member of the Access Unit, the 3 East Admission Clerk will work in close collaboration and liaison with all members of Peri-operative Services, thus ensuring a harmonious and efficient patient flow in and out of the Operating Suite and related services

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships both inter and intra departmentally
  • Greet patients as they arrive
  • Confirm all particulars as per Registration form
  • Discharge patients in accordance with the departmental policy

Your Contribution

  • Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner
  • Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills
  • Computer skills, including accurate keyboard skills
  • Professional presentation and demeanour
