  • We are looking for an exceptional Grade 2 Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Neurosciences stream!
  • The Royal Melbourne Hospital – City Campus
  • Full Time Fixed Term (12 months - Parental leave cover)

Your Opportunity:

An exciting internal opportunity exists for a Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Neurosciences stream.

  • The successful applicant would be working in a highly skilled interdisciplinary team to provide specialised acute speech pathology services to a neurosurgical population.
  • As a tertiary referral centre, the neurosurgical unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a busy and fast paced unit providing high acuity care for a complex patient population.
  • You would be working in a very supportive and encouraging Speech Pathology team with a focus on providing high quality patient centred care and ongoing improvement of this service.
  • The Speech Pathology Department has a well-established supervision program and supports ongoing professional development for all staff.

About You:

  • You will be a qualified Speech Pathologist, eligible for Speech Pathology Australia Membership.
  • You will have a passion for neurosciences and experience working with acute neurosurgical patients.
  • You will be tracheostomy and Video fluoroscopy trained.
  • You will have a proven track record of successfully working in teams and modelling interdisciplinary practice.

Additional Information:

  • Applicants must be available to undergo a two-stage recruitment process. Stage one is a brief telephone interview of shortlisted candidates. Successful candidates from stage one will be invited to attend a stage two face-to-face interview at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
