A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (North West, Mid West, Inner West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health. The North West Community Mental Health Team Coburg is an integral program of North West Area Mental Health service. We provide services for people, who are experiencing mental illness who require short, medium or longer term support and care. Consumers reside in the City of Moreland and Hume. North West Area Mental Health Service.Community Team Coburg. Senior Clinical position Full time fixed term until January 2016. About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term full time Senior Clinician position with the North West Community Mental Health Team Coburg/Brunswick. We are seeking a highly motivated clinician to provide high level clinical expertise within the Community Team with respect to the assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers, and support other clinicians in the delivery of high quality mental health care. The Senior Clinician will participate in clinical service development activities within the Team, and encourage and support quality initiatives and research. The role also involves the provision of supervision to staff as well as students within the relevant discipline. The successful applicant will have sound clinical and leadership skills with an understanding of the recovery framework and a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, its amendments and other relevant legislation.
