  • Oversee clinical costing for a large and complex healthcare service
  • Provide guidance and leadership to your team member and the broader Business Intelligence team
  • Work with clinical staff and business owners to improve data capture and data usage.

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our clinical costing team. This is a Full Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at Parkville. 

Your Opportunity:

  • Continue to build upon a proven process that provides timely information and analysis to support decision-making and research for Melbourne Health
  • Effectively build relationships, influence key stakeholders and prioritize goals to deliver clinical costing and revenue allocations that are industry best practice.
  • Liaise with external parties regarding clinical costing on behalf of Melbourne Health  
  • Provide managerial support to the clinical costing data manager.

About You:

  • A sound understanding of clinical costing principles and advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Significant experience within a similar role and an ability to interpret figures and present information in a meaningful manner
  • Experience in the development, implementation and use reporting information systems within the health care setting
  • Tertiary qualified with strong technical analysis skills, including Microsoft SQL, Excel and Microsoft Access, with experience with Qlikview reporting solutions and creating data models and process flows is highly desirable.
