  • Full Time, Fixed Term contract (12 months)

Your Opportunity:

An opportunity exists for an experienced research nurse to join the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

  • Work with the research nurse team and be involved in recruitment and data collection for a number of single-centre and multi-centre clinical trials
  • Varied and interesting trials include looking at dexamethasone (the PADDI Study), Ketamine (the Rocket Study) and Chewing Gum (the Chewy Trial)

About You: 

  • Experience in research nursing, including recruiting and interviewing patients, assisting clinicians with the conduct of trials including ethics and grant applications, and data entry is essential 
  • Qualifications in research methods are highly desirable 
  • Experience in peri-operative, critical care and/or emergency room clinical nursing in adult tertiary referral centres is highly desirable. (e.g. MPH) 
  • Applications may be considered from nurse wishing to work three days per week or more
