  • $61,344.40 - $64,064.00 base salary per annum based on  experience (Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016 -2020)

Life With Us:

Aged Persons’ Mental Health Unit (APMHU) - Bundoora is a 15 bed acute assessment unit for people over the age of 65 years with a mental health diagnosis.  We are a cohesive multidisciplinary team that has witnessed minimal turnover in nursing positions, so we are excited to have an opportunity for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join us. You will be supported by registered nurses in your daily work and will have the opportunity to effectively utilise and enhance your mental health nursing skills.


A Job To Be Proud Of:

  • Ensure that patients are aware of their rights and responsibilities and are provided with information about their treatment and care
  • Provide care in the least restrictive environment
  • Ensure collaboration with family/carers in the provision of care
  • Supervise junior/less experienced Enrolled Nurse
  • Ensure that patient progress in relation to planned goals is monitored and documented in the Clinical File as required by local policy/protocol

Your Contribution: 

  • Minimum 12 months nursing experience in an acute clinical setting
  • A strong interest in aged mental health
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Capacity to provide high quality patient care
  • Strong assessment, problem solving, critical thinking and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change
  • Experience in mental health nursing would be an advantage
