Group program (0.4EFT), Exercise Physiology (0.3EFT) and Dietetics (0.3EFT)
Orygen Youth Health (OYH) is a specialist youth mental health service for young people (15-25 years) residing in the western metropolitan area of Melbourne. Included within this service is a Psychosocial program. These positions sit within this program and focus on assisting young people to work at and achieve their recovery goals.
The Group program position is open to Dietitians, OT’s, SW’s, RPN 3 Nurses and Clinical Psychologists and involves working in the group program at both of the community sites (Sunshine and Parkville).
This role as part of a multi-disciplinary team is to develop, implement, co-facilitate and evaluate group programs. Interest and some experience as a group facilitator and working with young people are essential. You may also be required to provide some additional support to individual young people.
Exercise Physiology provides individual and small group assessments and interventions in our inpatient unit and community sites along with other psychosocial staff. There is also some EP student supervision required.
Dietetics provides consultation, assessment, and interventions for individuals and small groups of young people. Working with those prescribed anti-psychotic medications is a priority. Referrals come from both community sites, especially from the Sunshine service, where it is likely this position will be positioned most of the time.
