An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic team player to join the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant team at Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus. 


Your Opportunity: 

  • The HAN’s will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and will be part a vital part of our care team. If you are highly motivated and are committed to providing high standards of person- centred care then we would like to hear from you
  • This position is responsible for delegated care delivery relating to patients activities including but not limited to daily living and ensuring that the personal needs and comfort of patients is maintained

About You:


We would like to hear from candidates who have:

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients and families
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
  • A willingness to contribute to quality patient care
  • Completed the Certificate III in Health Services Assistance and have experience working in the health care setting

Selection Criteria Essential: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance- including units for assisting in nursing work in the acute care environment (HLTAIN301C and HLTAIN302C)
Essential: Previous experience working in an acute healthcare setting
Essential: Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients and families
Essential: Ability to practice collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
