Are you interested in meaningful engagement with young people (15-25 years old), and in providing leadership to enthusiastic mental health teams and psychiatry registrars working in early intervention in the western and north western areas of Melbourne, within a tertiary care setting?

 

Orygen Youth Health (Orygen Specialist Services) currently have full- and/or part-time vacancies that would be suitable for recently graduated or experienced psychiatrists interested in working with the Youth population in the north and west of Melbourne.

 

Orygen Specialist Services provide specialised early intervention to young people with emerging disorders. A comprehensive range of services is offered to young people experiencing severe and complex mental health issues, including assessment and treatment across the early phases of a number of disorders by multidisciplinary teams in community and inpatient settings.

 

The appointee would be required to provide high standards of clinical care and leadership, including the appropriate supervision of trainees and medical officers. Successful candidates are expected to participate in the afterhours senior on call rosters.
