An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join the team based at Aged Care 4 (AC4), Royal Park Campus. Consideration will also be given to staff wishing to increase their current contracted hours.
AC4 is a 25 bed ward boasting a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, as well as a supportive and rewarding environment. One of four Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) wards at Royal Park Campus; AC4 provides specialist care to both general GEM patients as well as Dementia specific GEM patients within a secure, safe environment.
We are committed to providing patient centred as well as holistic care that encompasses each patients physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
About You (Essential Requirements):
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Demonstrated ability to practise collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
- Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care
- Ability to work with patients who present with challenging behaviours associated with Alzheimer's Dementia
- High degree of patience and empathy
- Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritization skills
- High level of motivation and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of reliability and professional conduct
- Recent experience (minimum 1 year) in subacute, aged care and/or residential care setting. Sub-acute experience would be highly regarded
