Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH) and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) have commenced the Connecting Care program to implement a shared Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The Connecting Care program will see the expansion of the successful Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Epic EMR to operate across the four health services.
The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced change professional with a strong understanding of change and transformation management.
As the Change Manager you will develop the overall Connecting Care program change strategy and support the implementation of the change program and activities at each health service.
The Connecting Care Change Manager will:
- Collaboratively design and oversee the delivery of the change management strategy for the Connecting Care program reflecting the nature and level of change impact at each of the health services.
- Liaise with health service Change Managers and Project Directors to deliver change management strategies locally.
- Develop, implement and evaluate change management deliverables.
- Identify risks and anticipated points of resistance.
- Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on change management strategies.
Essential requirements for the role:
This is a senior position and the successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the successful management and delivery of complex, business transformation projects.
- Demonstrated ability to direct, motivate, influence and co-ordinate a variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic program change.
- Demonstrated experience in utilising methodologies to plan and deliver complex change programs.
- A tertiary degree with qualifications in Change Management, Human Resources or Project Management is highly desirable.
- Project management experience is highly desirable.
- Specialist training in Change Management is highly desirable.
- Experience working on EMR or clinical information system implementation projects preferred.
- Healthcare experience in acute care settings preferred.
