  • An exciting opportunity for RPN4 Clinician with the Northern PARC 
  • Work with the team from NEAMI located on Wood Street Preston
  • Full Time and Part Time positions available (7 day position, working Rotating Roster)

Life With Us:

The Northern PARC is an integral program of Northern Area Mental Health service. We provide services for people, who are experiencing mental illness who require short to medium term support and care. Consumers reside in the City of Darebin and Whittlesea.


A Job to Be Proud Of: 

  • Provide assessment and treatment of consumers with complex mental health-related needs, maintaining a close clinical connection with the inpatient unit at the Northern Hospital and with our community teams to facilitate the screening of potential referrals, assist with medication management, risk assessments on site, working in partnership with NEAMI clinicians
  • NPARC provides step-down care for the Northern IPU and step-up care for community managed consumers
  • Support consumers and their families/carers with medication education and need for adherence whilst at NPARC
  • Provide clinical support to consumers, tailoring interventions to support their recovery
  • Support clinicians with assessing risk for their consumers, and responding accordingly using relevant reporting tools
  • Undertake physical health screenings & assessments of consumers, contributing to planning the care of service users
Your Contribution:
  • Highly motivated
  • Sound clinical skills with an understanding of the recovery framework
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act its amendments and other relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of and experience in community work (especially PARC) and the development of community networks
  • Demonstrated capacity for initiative and an ability to work appropriately with limited direction
  • Relevant clinical qualification, knowledge and demonstrated skills in the principles and practice of working with people with a severe psychiatric disorder
  • Skills in liaison, collaboration and negotiation with other service providers, consumers and carer groups and other community agencies
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
