  • Opportunity to Train in the USA
  • Full time fixed term for 2 years until October 2020 (may consider 0.8EFT for the right candidate)
  • The salary range for this position is 80k – 100k (plus Super and salary packaging benefits) - depending on experience

The Connecting Care Program and Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR) 

The Connecting Care EMR Program is a digital partnership between Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH), Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) and the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) to transform patient care and research in the Parkville precinct.


Connecting Care will expand the cutting-edge RCH Epic EMR to operate across the four health services, creating one powerful shared clinical and research system and setting a new benchmark for EMR technology in Australia.

As a Connecting Care EMR BI Reporting Analyst, you will be a member of the team responsible for the design, build, configuration, testing and implementation of the Reporting application, functions and deliverables for the EMR at Melbourne Health, the Royal Women’s and Peter Mac.


Reporting Team responsibilities include analysis of reporting requirements, report design and development, data warehouse design and development, ETL, report deployment and documentation, establishment and maintenance of quality and data governance processes.


About You: 

The position would suit candidates with skills and experience within the following professions; 

  • Business Analysis 
  • Business Intelligence 
  • Data and Reporting 
  • System Analysis 
  • Information and Communications Technology 

 The successful applicant will have: 

  • Experience working in a large complex organisation with diverse reporting systems; 
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders about complex technical systems with multiple touchpoints; 
  • Experience working within an ICT project team; 
  • Experience using reporting tools with relational databases; 
  • Skills and experience in SQL, business intelligence platforms, relational databases and data warehouses; 
  • A tertiary degree in Computer Science, Technology, Data Science or other relevant discipline is desirable; 
  • Experience working with health data or health care systems will be highly regarded.
