Project Advisor 0.5EFT (Maternity Leave Backfill)


We are seeking a Part Time Fixed Term until 10 March 2019 0.5EFT Project Officer to lead the initiatives and implementation of the Strengthening Hospitals Response to Family Violence (SHRFV) program at RMH.


The Project Officer will sit in Allied Health and will have an extensive understanding of wider organisational and public health influences on the acute and subacute public hospital service and contribute to ongoing service improvement and development. The role will work closely with key stakeholders across the whole organisation, Allied Health management group and external service providers. The role will provide direct clinical response to individuals and families experiencing family violence, and will also complete quality audits and research projects as part of the SHRFV program.

Essential Key Selection Criteria:

  • Knowledge and understanding of sensitive and complex issues affecting women’s health policy and service delivery in the Victorian context
  • Knowledge and understanding of the family violence policy and service delivery environment in Victoria
  • Experience working in a hospital in a clinical role with people affected by family violence.
  • Experience delivering training, preferably training pertaining to family violence
  • Experience engaging, communicating and managing relationships with a diversity of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, effective and engaging manner.
  • Strong strategic thinking, research skills and analytical capability.
  • Team player, who understands the value of sharing information, develops and maintains constructive relationships and shows commitment to team objectives.
  • Clinical peer-to-peer supervision skills and experience
