Advertisement text NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne. A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services (North West, Mid West, Inner West and Northern), an Aged Persons’ Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health. About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term full time Team Leader position with the North West Community Team Coburg. We are seeking a highly motivated clinician that has an interest in contributing to our new service model and join our Leadership team in delivering a high quality service to the community with a Recovery Focus. The North West Community Team Coburg is an integral program of North West Area Mental Health service. We provide services for people, who are experiencing mental illness who require short, medium or longer term support and care. Consumers reside in the City of Moreland. The successful applicant will have sound clinical and leadership skills with an understanding of the recovery framework. The successful applicant has a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, its amendments and other relevant legislation. The Team Leader will work closely with the Manager, the Brunswick Team’s Team Leader, and Senior Nurse, to support the daily operations of the team and leadership to the Coburg Team. The Team Leader will provide line supervision, co-ordinate work flow, quality control, manage rosters and other tasks to support the function of the team. They will also work closely with the Manager in strategic planning and engage our key community stakeholders, and be part of the team’s executive. Importantly, the Team Leader’s role is to foster a supportive and inclusive work culture, whilst embedding the recovery principles in daily practice.
