Pathology Collector           

Part Time  - ongoing  32 hours per fortnight 

 

This position is available for a Pathology Collector to work in the pathology collection service of Melbourne Health. This position is to provide blood collection services for the Pathology Collection Centre and the ward round collections in The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

 

The position involves working weekday and weekend shifts.

 

The successful applicant will be able to work well in a team environment and have a proven ability to prioritise workloads.  The applicant must be experienced in venepuncture and pathology collection with a minimum certificate III/IV in blood collection .

Selection Criteria Essential: Must have recent blood collection experience
Essential: Effective written and verbal communication skills
Essential: certificate 3/4 or equivalent in blood collection
Essential: Eligibility to work in Australia , must have valid working rights
Desirable: Recent blood collection experience in a hospital setting
