  • Registered Nurse Grade 3 ANUM based at Broadmeadows Community Care Units 
  • Full Time position (Part Time considered) - Rostered Shifts including nights

Life With Us:

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time ongoing ANUM position within the North West Community Care Units. (Part Time hours considered)
  • The North West Community Care Units provide 24 hour community based residential care to people who experience long term serious mental illness and disability.
  • The CCU team work collaboratively with our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) to support an integrated model of care.
  • The CCU is a therapeutic environment in which rehabilitation programs are tailored to meet individual resident needs.
  • Residents require high levels of clinical support and intensive rehabilitation to manage their mental health and daily living.

A Job to Be Proud Of:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to an allocated case load of clients and be required to engage in clinical supervision
  • Contribute to in-service education sessions
  • Work within a recovery framework under the direction of the Team leader, Consultant and Manager
  • Provide leadership to CCU clinicians on a shift by shift basis to ensure effective day to day operation of the CCU
  • Have a case management role with specific clients and support the group program 
  • Work closely with CCU clients and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes for individuals who have a severe disability associated with long term mental illness
  • There will be a requirement to work rostered shifts - morning, afternoon, and nights inclusive of weekends and there may be allocated shifts and duties within our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) to support an integrated model.

Your Contribution:

  • Current Registration under AHPRA
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team 
  • Clinical expertise in mental state assessment and risk assessment
  • Demonstrated ability in time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and role model professional standards of Nursing Practice
  • Demonstrated capacity for initiative and an ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of and commitment to the Recovery framework
  • Will ensure policies and standards of practice are implemented and integrated into day to day practice 
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
  • Current full Victorian Drivers Licence
