RMH@Home Acute (Hospital In The Home)

 

This is a Hospital Registrar role within RMH@Home Acute (Hospital In The Home), based at Royal Melbourne Hospital (City Campus), Parkville, Victoria. Part-time and flexible working hours can be negotatiated based on individual circumstances.

 

This role would be suitable for a Hospital Registrar with an interest in holistic multidiciplinary care, working with a team of skilled nursing staff, pharmacists and allied health. The medical team consists of other junior doctors, physician advanced trainees and senior staff specialists (FRACP, FRACGP, FACEM).

 

The Hospital Registrar would be involved in delivering inpatient clinical care. This includes working with and supervision of junior doctors, patient reviews, documenting admissions, management and discharge plans of HITH patients. Common conditions managed within the unit include exacerbation of heart failure, bronchiectasis, kidney disesae, subspecialty areas such as transplant medicine and cancer care as well as longer term infections (eg bronchiectasis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis). We also provide peri and post-operative care for wounds, lines, drains and anticoagulation management.

 

About you:
• You are an AHPRA registered Doctor with hospital experience and are willing to work on a rotating roster, within our supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
• You are looking to expand your clinical skills and medical knowledge re: the interface between hospital and community care
• You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
