Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program
The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s 2020 Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program, designed to provide excellent learning and clinical experiences for newly qualified nurses, is now open for applications.
Our Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program offers graduates a unique opportunity to consolidate their preregistration learning experience in a structured and supportive environment while developing clinical skills and providing the foundation for the next stage of their career.
The program ensures that graduates gain valuable knowledge and skills which are current, relevant and responsive to healthcare needs now and in the future, supporting the transition from student to Enrolled Nurse, in a friendly and stimulating working environment.
We welcome graduates who want to develop and excel, and are committed to becoming part of our team by helping us achieve our vision of being a Great Place to work, a Great Place to receive care. 2020 also brings the exciting implementation of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and you will play an important role in utilising this technology in providing excellence in patient centred care.
The program will be facilitated by the Nursing Education Department who are committed to supporting, inspiring and encouraging lifelong learning. We value our workforce and will provide all possible opportunities to develop and advance your skills.
About the program:
- A comprehensive orientation and development program that reflects the Registered Nurse GNP to ensure a collaborative workforce
- Dedicated study days including ACTION - an internationally accredited program designed to develop skills in recognising patient deterioration and responding appropriately, and training in Management of Clinical Aggression (MOCA)
- Support and guidance of the Clinical Nurse Educators and Nursing Education team
- Clinical experience supported by a preceptorship model
- Skills consolidation with regular debriefing and in-service sessions

- Academic Transcript (results received to date and grading key)
- Clinical Appraisals (2 most recent clinical placements)
- 2 clinical referees (from your clinical placements)
- 1 employment referee (from your current place of employment)
- 1 recent passport size photograph (please embed this into your cover letter)
