We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Peri anaesthetic team. This is a Part Time Fixed Term position, working 32 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.

Your Opportunity:

  • Provision of anaesthetic assistance to patients undergoing all types of major surgery and the post-operative recovery of patients
  • Provide high quality standards of patient care. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
  • Promote patient advocacy, health promotion and teaching

About You:

  • 4 years’ experience in Peri-anaesthetic and/or Recovery Nursing
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Peri-anaesthetic and Recovery Nursing is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated high clinical standards in patient assessment
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergency and trauma caseload including cardiopulmonary arrest situations
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good technical proficiency and familiarity with a range of hemodynamic monitoring platforms
  • Willingness to actively and positively contribute to a high functioning multidisciplinary Perioperative nursing team
