Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Grade 2
- Aged Persons Mental Health Program
- Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight including monthly ADO
- Working hours include weekend and night shift

A Job To Be Proud Of:
- Complete assessments of patients to ensure an evidence based, patient led, collaborative approach to recovery
- Administer medication and monitor efficacy
- Admit and discharge patients as required
- Educate and mentor undergraduate, graduate and post graduate students
- Take charge of shifts when ANUM not available
- Dissemination of information to multidisclipanry team in ward rounds, key meetings and handover
Your Contribution:
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (APHRA)
- Experience of working with consumers with a mental health diagnosis
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and other staff members
- An understanding of the policies and procedures associated with the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation
- The incumbent may be required to undertake duties, at alternate work location within the Aged Persons Mental Health Service in response to operational demands of the Service.
