Registered Psychiatric Nurse (Grade 2)

  • Part Time Ongoing role - 64 hours per fortnight
  • Based in Broadmeadows at Broadmeadows Hospital with Secure parking onsite
  • Only a 10 minute walk to Broadmeadows Train Station and Broadmeadows Plaza

Broadmeadows Aged Persons Mental Health Unit is part of the Aged Persons Mental Health Program of NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH).

About you:

  • Experience of working with consumers with a mental health diagnosis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • A team oriented nurse with experience in leading shifts and providing clinical leadership and support to staff
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and other staff members
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to problem solve in a complex and ever changing environment.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check, and where applicable, Working With Children Check (WWCC). Selection Criteria Essential: Are you eligible to work in Australia? E.g. Australian Birth Certificate or passport with working visa, permanent residency?
Essential: Do you hold a Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing or equivalent?
Essential: Are you registered with AHPRA and can you provide a copy of your current registration?
