The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Food Services team. This is a Casual position, based at The Royal Melbourne Royal Park Campus. Key aspects of this role include:
Your Opportunity:
- The distribution and collection of all patient meals
- Food and beverages preparation
- Basic food preparation including plating and heating of meals
- Cleaning duties
- Attending all mandatory training
- Delivery of meals to various wards / Delivery of Morning, Afternoon Tea and Supper
About You:
- Current Food Handlers Certificate (Health)
- Contribute effectively to a team environment and independently as required
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Be reliable, self-motivated and have a friendly nature
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail
- Must possess flexibility to cover for leave
