A Job to be Proud of:
- Provide discipline specific nursing leadership for the MWAMHS service
- Ensure the effective delivery of quality clinical services
- As a member of the Area leadership group, the Senior Nurse Consultant take on a range of responsibilities, portfolios and projects appropriate to a senior level and contribute to overall service planning and development
- Participate in NWMH Senior Nurse Advisory Group
- Work collaboratively with program managers and nurses across MWAMHS to plan and develop nursing services
- Participate in the planning and delivery of new services such as new mental health beds at Sunshine Hospital
Your Contribution:
- Extensive senior psychiatric experience (at least 5 years) in a range of settings
- Highly developed knowledge and understanding of nursing reseach, service and practice development methology
- Capacity to support and build positive culture in the nursing workforce and develop the senior nurse workforce as leadership group
- Proven ability to undertake quality development initiatives and education programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to represnt psychiatric nursing education, training and professional development issues on Area-wide and NWMH committees
