The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unaccredited Registrar position is based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville Campus. Applications are encouraged from suitably qualified doctors with prior unaccredited registrar experience in Plastic Surgery (including Faciomaxillary, Limb, Breast, Head and Neck reconstruction).


The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Unit SET registrars, Residents, Consultants and International Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital department of Plastic Surgery sharing the running duties of this busy department. The successful candidate will be exposed to a broad range of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including non-elective surgery.


The RMH Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery Unit has 15 Consultant Plastic Surgeons, 3 local Accredited Registrars and 5 Residents. The Unit specialises in microsurgical reconstruction for breast, head & neck cancer and lower limb trauma. The Unit also manages a large number of general plastic surgery cases, including elective and post-traumatic hand surgery, facial trauma, brachial plexus injuries, melanoma and provides a broad reconstructive service to all specialties.

We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Department of Plastic Surgery. This is a Full Time, 12 month Fixed term position based at Royal melbourne City Campus commencing in February 2022.
