North Western Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne.  A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Adult Area Mental Health Services (North West, Mid West, Inner West and Northern), an Aged Person’s Mental Health Program and a Youth Mental Health Service – ORYGEN Youth Health. NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.

  • Responsible for the provision of a wide range of first and second level support services with particular focus on our database systems and the Intranet
  • Experienced IT Support Officer to provide a range of IT data analysis and support functions
  • Collaborate with the Executive group in the development and ongoing management of the IWAMHS Intranet site.
  • Plans database upgrades by maintaining , evaluating and improving IT systems
  • Supports database performance by monitoring database performance; evaluating and resolving processing and programming problems; designing database management tools; answering user questions.
  • Engages in process design and technical support of the Electronic Medical Record

Your Contribution:

  • You are a self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional Systems and Data Analyst with a minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience in an equivalent role.   
  • You will be responsible for managing and actively contributing to the development and use of our internal database systems as well as overseeing our Intranet requirements. 
  • Minimum 2 years experience with demonstrated expertise in the providing of IT support in a team environment.
  • Technically competent with SQL in the context of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and a willingness to develop expertise in Access.
  • Experience in web development and willingness to learn about the software package used at Melbourne Health.
