Youth Key Clinician

  • Part Time, 64 hours per fortnighty– Monday to Friday

A job to be proud of

  • Provide recovery oriented assessment and interventions in collaboration with young people presenting with their first episode of psychosis or deemed to be at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis.
  • Provide evidence based interventions with young persons and their families in accordance to the Australian Clinical guidelines for first episode psychosis.
  • Provision of intensive community based interventions and outreach support as clinically indicated to consumers and their families.
  • Partake in discipline specific clinical supervision and workload management
  • Participate in discipline specific clinical supervision and workload management
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development activities and in-service training and sharing new found knowledge with the clinical team.

Your Contribution

  • Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
  • Demonstrated ability in working with people who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis aged between 16 – 25 and their families/carers.
  • Capacity to undertake alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, treatment planning, brief interventions with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Well-developed skills in writing and an ability to promptly prepare relevant documentation
