We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Pathology team. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position, working 76 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.

Your Opportunity:
Melbourne Health Pathology situated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and a business unit within Melbourne Health, is seeking to appoint a Clinical Scientist Manager, preferably with higher qualifications in Mass Spectrometry. You will be managing a small team of other scientists working in the Mass Spectrometry area.

Reporting to the Principal Scientist in Chemical Pathology and HOD within the Chemical Pathology, key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the division is meeting the needs of the Pathology Department
  • Supporting a team of scientists working with MS and metabolomics
  • Other administrative tasks that support the development and integration of MS into the Pathology Department

You will be required to collaborate with the WEHI researchers in this field and develop where appropriate, strategic relationships with other academic and heath care institutions.

About You: 

  • Higher degree in science in a field relevant to clinical mass spectrometry
  • Experience in mass spectrometry and data analysis, Metabolomics, data analytics (Bioinformatics), NPAAC Quality requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
