John Cade Unit Adult Acute Psychiatry Unit offers post registration experience as well as the clinical, further educational and on-going training support to enable the Registered Nurse (RPN / RN) to further develop their clinical skills for work in an acute mental health in-patient unit.
Your success in this role, will be in your ability to
- Deliver holistic, recovery focussed care to consumers, carers, and families providing evidenced based practise in a trauma informed, least restrictive way.
- Collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team, including clinical handover, advocacy for consumers, attending ward round as a nursing representative, and driving high standards of care.
- Completion of admissions and discharges as per ward processes.
- Carry out other duties as directed in accordance with industrial classification standards
- Practice in senior nursing roles on the unit as required.
- Commitment to embedding Safewards model of care into everyday practice.
