Infectious Diseases Physician (Research Fellow)
The Infectious Diseases Physician (Research Fellow) is responsible for developing a method for text mining for invasive fungal infections using specialist expertise in infectious disease, mycology and skills in text mining and natural language processing and medical informatics. The aim is to develop a method to capture invasive fungal infections for surveillance and early recognition. The Infectious Diseases Physician (Research Fellow) is also responsible for participating in other research activities, particularly collaborating with researchers on the intelligent fungal surveillance project and from the Guidance group. The incumbent is also responsible for timely preparation of reports and publications and other duties as directed.
Selection criteria
Essential:
?Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
?Approved specialist training in Infectious Diseases.
?Extensive knowledge and experiences in invasive fungal infections.
?Extensive experiences in text mining methodology.
?Research training at PhD level.
Desirable:
?High level communication skills.
?Work collaboratively as team member.
?Experiences within a tertiary hospital setting.
