Applications are invited for the role of Waiting List Coordintor in the RMH Elective Booking Office.


About this Role:

This role is integral to meeting DHHS targets, Working with Elective Surgery Policy and assisting in managing the elective waiting list.

 

The Elective Booking Office (EBO) is the key area responsible for the booking of a majority of elective admissions to Royal Melbourne Hospital and the administration and integrity of The Royal Melbourne Hospital Elective Surgery Waiting List.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
Desirable: Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone manner
Desirable: Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills. Computer skills, including accurate keyboard skills & Knowledge of medical terminology
Desirable: Demonstrated team player with an ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment with an ability to accept direction and demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritise. Able to work in a busy environment and under pressure at times and demonstrated flexibility and reliabilit
Desirable: A sound understanding of hospital emergency and interdepartmental policy and procedure as they pertain to the position
Desirable: TAFE accredited clerical training certificate (inclusive of iPM)
