The Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL) is the central agency for public mental health workforce development (including lived experience workers) in Victoria, supporting access to quality, contemporary learning and development

  • The Workforce Learning & Development Coordinator (Consumer perspective) is a key team member of the Centre for Mental Health Learning, (CMHL Vic)
  • Support the development of the mental health lived experience workforce in Victoria
  • Be involved with the development of practice tools and guidelines, learning and development resources, and professional development for lived-experience workers and the broader mental health workforce.

You will be a passionate and committed individual who: 

  • Demonstrates energy and commitment to LEW workforce learning and development in mental health services 
  • Commitment to coproduction/codesign principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Excellent project, time management, and priority setting skills
  • Understands the needs and issues for consumer workers working in clinical and community mental health services 

You will have: 

  • A lived experience of accessing or trying to access publicly funded mental health services 
  • Experience working in a dedicated consumer lived experience role in Victoria 
  • A minimum of diploma level in health, welfare, community development, and/or adult education (or equivalent experience)
