The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

This is a Part Time, Fixed Term position until November 2021, working 72 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Working with us:

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Neurosurgery team. The Neurosurgery ward includes Neurosurgery, Neuro-interventional, Epilepsy and Ophthalmology. We are seeking enthusiastic nurses who wish to expand their nursing skills, utilise various monitoring equipment and invasive devices. You will become a valued and supported member of one of the busiest Neurosurgical wards in Australia. The skills you will learn are highly sought after and a great introduction to caring for high acuity and complex surgical and trauma patients.

This positions will focus on providing high quality direct patient care with a key focus on education and must demonstrate the Melbourne Health values of People first, excellence together and lead with kindness.

About you:

To be a successful applicant you must:

  • Have registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Excellent communication skills and clinical knowledge
  • Demonstrate ability to nurse collaboratively as part of the multi disciplinary team.
