Undertake our residency program as a career progression pathway and rotate through clinical and operational teams. This varied role offers experience in all areas of hospital pharmacy and support from specialist team leaders to complete the residency program and progress to a Grade 2 position.
About the Role
You will work closely with a team of highly specialised pharmacists and technicians to deliver patient focused services to RMH patients. Your strong commitment to team work, flexibility and organisation skills will enable you to operate across the various clinical and operational roles at RMH as part of the residency program. Your commitment to further education and research will be supported.
Duties
- Deliver high quality patient focused pharmaceutical care
- Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatients
- Learn to supervise and manufacture aseptic and cytotoxic products
- Provide a service through inpatient and outpatient dispensary
- Participate in education and research
- Contribute to stock control and claiming for medicines
- Contribute after hours and weekend services
Skills and Experience
- Current registration (or eligible to register as a pharmacist with AHPRA
- Experience in hospital pharmacy
- Ability to work in a team
- Desire to participate in residency program
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Sound written oral & written communication skills
