  • Newly created leadership position overseeing large Echocardiogram program
  • Part Time on-going position, 64 hours per fortnight

The Cardiology Department at The Royal Melbourne Hospital includes a 33 bed Coronary Care Unit and Cardiology Ward, Cardiology Day Ward and 2 Cardiac Catheter Laboratories with plans to build a third Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.


We have a large Echocardiogram program for inpatient, outpatient and private patients and we are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse to manage, procure and oversee our Echocardiogram programs for the Cardiology Department. This person will be the key contact to oversee  the three programs and be proficient in Intravenous cannulation.


The preferred candidate will have strong communication skills and recent clinical management experience as they will be working in a multidisciplinary team of Administration, Cardiac Physiologists, Nursing and Medical staff and coordinating the whole program. Part of the role will be prioritising and managing the lists based on clinical needs in collaboration with the medical staff.

This role would suit an experienced and enthusiastic Cardiology Nurse with clinical management to work under a patient centred care framework with excellent organisational, collaborative and clinical skills.
