We are looking for a Registered Nurse Grade 5 (mental health) with a strong commitment to consumer-focused service delivery who is passionate about improving outcomes for people with a mental illness and who has demonstrated leadership experience within a range of clinical mental health services.  

 

The Program Manager will provide professional leadership and direction to multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective operational functioning of the Adult Acute Inpatient Unit, including financial, HR and occupational health and safety processes and the achievement of both local and Departmental clinical key performance indicators 

 

This position provides a unique opportunity to manage a busy acute psychiatry inpatient unit which has a strong reputation for provision of excellent clinical service delivery. The program responsibilities include all aspects of operational management of the service, service development and provision of management support to all clinical staff, administrative and support staff and the peer consumer / carer workforce.

 

In partnership with the Consultant Psychiatrists, the Program Manager is responsible for clinical standards related to the service, and provides advice and support in relation to complex or potential high-risk situations and adverse events. 

 

The Program Manager contributes as a member of the MWAMHS leadership team, and participates in service review, planning, development and monitoring activities.
