  • Full-Time position,  80 hours per fortnight 
  • Grade 4 RPN

The Northern Area Mental Health Service is an integrated network of mental health services providing psychiatric services to residents in the Cities of Darebin and Whittlesea. Services include Acute In-patient Unit, Emergency Mental Health Service, Continuing Care Teams, Community Care Units and PARC.


We are seeking energetic and experienced nurse to fill the role of Clinical Nurse Leader.

 

 

A Job to Be Proud Of:

  • Provide and coordinate a high level of clinical care and nursing leadership grounded in mental health nursing models of care
  • Actively lead the clinical nursing service delivery and collaborate with the extended multidisciplinary team to consider clinical, quality and risk management and care
  • Support service performance and care standards within the Inpatient Unit
  • Ensure appropriate delegation and supervision (including Clinical Supervision) for less experienced Registered Nurses or Enrolled Nurses.
  • Be a key nursing resource and clinical advisor to staff within the Inpatient Unit and wider Northern Area Mental Health service providers
  • Assist with implementing change in the clinical environment and contributing to the ongoing development of the Unit

Your Contribution:

  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Senior clinical mental health nurse with a background of significant clinical and leadership experience
  • Minimum Post-graduate qualification relevant to mental health nursing
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse and complex clinical presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
