  • Equipment Nurse, The Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus
  • 8 hours per fortnight

About our Department:

Victoria’s first public hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is a quaternary referral centre and

state wide trauma service in inner city Melbourne. Of our 78,000 presentations per year, the Emergency Department (ED) cares for a complex case mix of patients including a large percentage of trauma, mental health, drug and alcohol related presentations. The organisation’s vison is to be the “First in Care, Research and Learning” and an employer of choice.

About the Role:

The role of the Equipment Nurse is required to work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager of the Emergency Department.  If you are highly motivated and are committed to providing high standards of person- centred care then we would like to hear from you.

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic autonomous nurse who can fill a 1 day per fortnight commitment. This role will liaise with the current Equipment nurse but will align with the PD and the staffing requirements of the Emergency Department. This person will need to show initiative, be adaptable and have a progressive way of managing the ED consumables which directly impact on the ED budget. This person should have good knowledge of the Emergency Department, the equipment, stock and store needs.
