Registered Nurse

  • Opportunity to learn new skills in plastic reconstructive surgery, trauma and Head and neck oncology
  • Ward 7 South East provides variety and challenges in a rich learning environment 
  • Our growing team of senior staff will help and support you.  You will have the opportunity to become a specialist and participate in great post grad courses and short courses

Ward 7 South East is a surgical ward with 30 beds.  The patients are under the Trauma, Plastics, Head and Neck or Breast surgery bed cards.  Patients with many types of trauma are admitted as are many other specialities if there is a need for them to be accepted from the Emergency department.


Your new role:

  • Work on a 30 bed ward caring for multi day reconstructive plastics, head and neck oncology, oral maxillo facial & trauma ward providing holistic care.
  • Utilise a high level of clinical expertise in general nursing and a critical thinking ability to recognise clinical changes in the deteriorating patient.
  • We offer very supportive clinical nursing education on the floor and preceptors.
  • Work in partnership with the allied health team to effect a positive outcome for the patient.

About you:

  • Acute clinical experience – preferably in a surgical ward or speciality.
  • Enthusiasm to learn
  • Demonstrated high clinical standards in patient assessment
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergency and clinical deteriorating patients
