Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant

  • 12 month 0.4EFT (2 days per week), fixed term parental leave backfill from July 2022

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of over 100 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant to join our Physiotherapy service within the general and special medical stream.


Your new role:

  • Provide support and interventions to the Physiotherapy Allied Health services within the identified scope of practice as determined by the Allied Health Clinician/s.
  • Develop your skills and knowledge as an Allied Health Assistant.
  • Communicate with a range of people, including patients, families/carers, and staff from other disciplines.
  • Assist in provision of leadership and coordination of other Allied Health Assistants and Allied Health Assistant student placement across RMH.

About you:

  • You hold an Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV or equivalent qualification.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as administrative skills.
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
  • You have a passion for patient centred care and are able to follow instructions and guidance from Physiotherapists.
