Anatomical Pathologist
0.7 FTE (potentially up to full time), 1 year initial contract (beginning June 2019)
Pathology – The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
A sessional position exists for an anatomical pathologist in our Anatomical Pathology Department at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic candidate to lead the neuropathology service (one of Australasia’s largest), predominantly adult tumour cases, and be capable in all aspects of general diagnostic pathology.
The successful applicant must be a fellow of the RCPA, specialist in anatomical pathology.
Experience in neuropathology, molecular pathology, general anatomical pathology and cytology is preferred. Competence in all aspects of diagnostic anatomical pathology is strongly preferred.
The successful candidate is expected to participate in staff rotations, on call (which may involve out of hours re-call), participate in self education activities, internal & external training courses, and in clinical and scientific meetings.
