The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Clinical Engineering team. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position, working 80 hours per fortnight.

We are currently seeking a Biomedical Engineering to join our team.  Reporting to the Clinical Engineering Supervisor, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the management of biomedical equipment (as defined by the TGA) in Melbourne Health, except for Pathology and Imaging equipment. This includes maintenance and regulatory requirements such as Electrical Safety testing.

About You:

  • Experience in asset management (whole of life) in a health care environment
  • Knowledge of Medical Equipment & Australian Standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of computer literacy in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in projects and equipment maintenance
  • Ability to build relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff, including managers and directors
