Enhanced Intervention Clinician

  • Ongoing Part Time (Monday-Friday)

Your New Team

The Northern Area Mental Health Service Provides a comprehensive range of specialist mental health services to people who reside in the local government areas of Darebin and Whittlesea. Within Hotham Street there are a number of functions including the Enhanced Intervention Function (EIF) which provides intensive and evidence based care to consumers and their families. If you are seeking a rewarding opportunity working with consumers using discipline specific based interventions, then this is the role you are looking for.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to:

  • Provide evidenced based discipline specific assessments and interventions including linking to meaningful and purposeful activities in the person’s own community.
  • Work in a team environment that encourages individual, evidence based approaches to mental health care.

  • Work with individuals and their families during some of the most stressful periods of their lives to make a difference, then this job is for you.

Your Contribution

  • Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of people experiencing complex and enduring mental illness
  • Skills in the provision of recovery focused interventions, psycho-social recovery oriented rehabilitation to people with significant and psychiatric disorders and disabilities and complex needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
